Bush and Ethan
Living in Tribeca 7 blocks from the World Trade Centers, Quigley had been commissioned to paint President Bush by a friend of the Bush Family in 2000. He started the painting days after 911 in tears, and everything around his tribeca studio in turmoil. After deciding not to work on it any further, keep its integrity, and put it away in storage for 15 years, Quigley showed it in a 2016 group show that was supporting Veterans and Soldiers for Soldier Ride. It stands as one of his most cherished and important portraits. President Bush is now painting War Vets and Soldiers.

Gene Tunney
Part of a Series of over 60 Boxer Skrapper paintings made from 1999. Quigley continues to occasionally keep his own tradition alive. His boxer paintings are some of his more valuable and sought after work. He owns a Brand called Skrapper which acts as a public vehicle for his other ventures outside the studio; such as his dedication to charities and licensing limited edition Skrapper clothing, Apparel and other products.

Indian Boy
Living in India twice in 1997 and again in 1998 for about 5 months total, Quigley made about 30 works in Delhi. This young 8 year old boy was living on the same block and was often seen playing cricket in the street. One day he was dressed up in traditional Muslim spiritual attire for a local service, and then used this photograph for a magazine ad. Inspired by the story, thus came the painting.

Wish I was Famous. I have the Lips for it.
In 2002 after 911, Quigley moved from Tribeca to a 11 window, 2000 sq ft beautiful loft on Broome and Mercer in Soho. He was lucky to meet Giel and Diane Millner who loved his art and began trading a large part of the $8000 a month rent for 4 paintings per year. Quigley also became a nice addition to the family in a sense by voluntarily cleaning the lobby, making sure the building was looked after, and keeping peace between the Millners, who had moved to an incredible horse farm in Virginia, and the tenants. One of those Tenants was the popular Gormet Garage renting a large space on the busy Soho corner. Gormet Garage changed their decor every few years, and in 2006 feeling trendy and Skrappy Quigley decided to use one of the 6 ft metal signs he found in the trash for a painting. It remains one of his favorite paintings in his personal collection. Recently he decided to test the market and see if others may have his taste.

Portrait of a Sofia, 1986
A girl William met outside the Village Gate on Bleeker Street in 1986. "I thought then wow, this is New York! Jazz, Bleeker Street, Sofia. And thought for sure we would get married." Finding strong works from the beginning of an artists career are often rare. They show almost innocent consistencies and a foundation that an artist holds onto as their work and confidence develops. In most cases those same explorations that were once instincts in the formidable years, are now trademarks in the more mature works. This work on paper is a strong indication of the early strengths and aggressive line, yet sensitive mark now evident in most of Quigley's established portraits. This an extraordinary example of his early work that would help define a signature tendency in many of his later portraits.
